BOOTS

A small series of collages made with original photographs printed on archival paper. Each collage is a mix of different elements, from the landscape, to architectural details of Ptown homes, to the boots themselves. Greg Salvatori shoots all the different elements at the same time of the day, creating similar shadows and tints. He prints all photographs on cotton rag and creates scenes that capture a mesmerizing, cohesive effect. The army boots play with the culturally masculine and feminine, the military and the idyllic, conflict and peace, transforming familiar spaces, houses, apartments, theaters, and shops into dream-like landscapes.
