WORLD’S END BALL
Danny Keith’s Provocative New Paintings
Opening Friday, 5/23 6pm.

Provincetown, MA– Greg Salvatori ignites the season with bold audacity in World’s End Ball, a new series of provocative paintings by Danny Keith. Nodding to the apocalyptic, Keith’s series confronts the collapse of a faltering society. His paintings pose a searing question: as the world burns, do we recoil in dread, succumb to despair, or dance in defiant celebration of its demise?

Keith’s vision is both elegy and manifesto. His canvases, vibrant with the ashes of greed and power, imagine the final gasp of an old order and the dawn of a new one—a tribe bound not by hierarchy but by compassion, empathy, and individuality. The artist’s brush recalls the opulent language of Renaissance and Gilded Age portraiture, subverting their symbols of privilege and power by turning them into mere costume, a performative masquerade stripped of authority.

“I usually open the season with my own show,” says Salvatori, “and then follow with an intense program, launching a new solo show each week for my artists. But this year is different. What Danny did—his vision, his message—is needed right now. I want him to have the spotlight and define the season’s bold trajectory.” World’s End Ball is no mournful requiem. It’s a jubilant rebellion, inviting us to revel in the ruin of a world that has long forsaken us and to embrace the creative potential of what rises next. Greg Salvatori Gallery sets the stage for a bold, unapologetic vision—one that demands we not just witness but join the dance.

Danny Keith, known for his evocative and dynamic style, continues to push his artistic boundaries. His masterful technique - MFA from California College of the Arts with a focus on figurative painting - and innovative approach are evident in every brushstroke, making this exhibition a must-see for art enthusiasts and collectors alike. His paintings celebrate the male form and reveal a strong sense of intimacy and desire between artist and subject. They invite subtle narratives and suggest open and free emotions through a bright color palette and the captivating unfinished and imperfect form of his works.

Danny Keith is represented exclusively by Greg Salvatori Gallery.
