Jeff Miller is accomplished artist with an insatiable curiosity for male form. His use of the line as an expressive tool is a synthesis of classical form and kinetic energy.
He creates a witty and elegant exploration of the male body with influences by the sinuous line of Art Nouveau and the work of Aubrey Beardsley. His playful and sexy drawing collection feels almost like a constellations, where each sign is ruled by desire, curiosity, attraction and beauty.
Nothing is ever superfluous in Jeff Miller’s artwork, having mastered the form in an artistic evolution that leaves his work seemingly minimal while offering a fresh and architectural take on the body. His signature sculptural quality is the fruit of his anatomy research at the Art Students League, his studies at the New York Academy and the School of Visual Arts, his drawings of museum statues at the MET and live models.
Jeff Miller’s work is in the permanent collection of New York’s Leslie-Lohman Museum. He is represented exclusively by Greg Salvatori Gallery.
