Danny Keith

Danny Keith is an award winning figurative painter. He holds an MFA from California College of the Arts and focuses primarily on the male form. His oil paintings show the full extent of his impeccable technique while celebrating the open and free emotions of the non finito.

In his Doubles Series Keith considers our relationship with ourselves, from self- reliance, to narcissism, self-care and self-love. The subject is doubled and tenderly interacts with itself. The paintings subtly invite narratives and evoke artists such as Homer, Eakins, and Sargent while maintaining an extremely personal vision. By working with the same models over long periods of time, the paintings reveal a strong sense of intimacy and desire between artist and subject.

Danny Keith is represented exclusively by Greg Salvatori Gallery.
