Greg Salvatori’s new show showcases his daring vision through a variety of media, from painting, to photography, to Augmented Reality. 26 Centuries is a complex and exciting series that explores how our communal past and personal present intersect in unexpected ways. Through the different techniques and forms, ancestors emerge not as haunted enemies of the present but rather contemporary playmates. These works question our ideas of identity, turning it into fluid experiences of performance and curiosity rather than an entrenched category. At the heart of the “26 Centuries” is a powerful message of hope about our future where technologies can trigger curiosity rather than fear and anger, and where history becomes a reservoir for inspiration.

Salvatori signature themes and techniques are all present in this new series - bright colors, bold brush strokes, dramatic lighting, classical male form - while also stretching into new techniques and seeing relationships between distinct media. The approach to this work continues to reflect his deep desire to celebrate our incredible - and undeserved - luck to be alive and part of a story much bigger than our brief life.
